They do and it is recommended. They are extremely busy
No. But they are byob.
Great service, awesome food, real Italian atmosphere.
I went here for a business meeting, it takes a good while for the food to get you but when it does... The food is quite good and mostly people order pizza, Don't get the pizza. Not because it's bad but because it's an italian restaurant so enjoy!
Decent Italian and nice atmosphere for a small town place.
Good food, poor service. The complimentary garlic bread was one of the best I’ve had in Midland, and the dip was delicious (garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar). I ordered the pasta primavera and it was delicious. We were a party of four, and the waitress refused to split the check. She said you should have told me before you ordered! Not to mention the service was very slow - we waited over 30 minutes for her to take our orders!
Outstanding service, place was full and we asked if we can sit outside they set up a table for us and took very good care of us. We thought we were going to be forgotten out there but they didn't. Manager came out several times to check up on us. Food was outstanding. Highly recommend if you are passing by or staying over night.
Absolutely amazing, my wife and I never gave this place much thought due to it's location but now that we have been here and tried the food....we are definitely going to make this a new goto. Very clean and comfortable, Laken, our server was very friendly and never rushed us once. The food was absolutely phenomenal and the prices were very reasonable for the portions. Keep up the great work Ray's, your place was a blast. Thank you so much
The best shrimp scampi ever eaten...Rays is the best Italian restaurant with excellent customer service.
We love Ray's! Really great food and service. It's our go to Italian place. We get the pizza most of the time and it is excellent, but everything we have tried has been good.
One of the best places in Midland. Spinach ravioli, alfredo fettuccine and tortellini ala rosa are must try for vegetarians. Their stuffed mushroom varies in taste but when its good its good good!!! Friendly staff and good place for gathering.
Amazing food and service! Will be back soon.
Lobster ravioli is the best. Everyone was so friendly and very attentive. Not too bothersome but came around just the right amount.
Awesome Italian food from the bread to my Lasagna and the wife's veal marsala. Delicious. The wait staff was on point. Highly recommend Ray's Italian Bistro.
I was blown away by the quality and taste of the food! It was out of site!! Great service as well. I will be back for sure!!
Service was amazing, food was even better. I would recommend to anyone. P.S. this is a BYOB.
This place is great. I have been there three times and have not been disappointed. I brought my wife for the first time and she wanted to go back the next day. Her new favorite place 😁
If you don’t mind waiting 2 hours for one pizza then this place is for you ! The old business owners are down right inconsiderate and rude. No matter how long they take on your order it’s wrong. The level of disrespect the managers give is enough to make me never want to come back ! I will not be surprised if they bankrupt within the year ! No idea how they even keep the business running because it’s a joke.
Customer service has gotten worse over the past year. Today was the worst. Called in to go order, had to wait 25 minutes past pickup time in a line for pickup in a crowded restaurant, and then the fried calamari was not sufficiently fried. Batter was as white as the calamari. Staff was frazzled and rude.
Probably the best food in Midland! I’ve got an allergy to garlic and these guys took care of me which is a near impossibility at most Italian restaurants in the US. Had the filet with shrimp and a side of fettuccini, it was top notch!
Excellent little Italian place. I can't believe it took me so long to find it. Everything we have eaten has been excellent. The service is great although a bit slow at times. Nice portion sizes, great flavor, and good bread with dipping sauce. Skip Olive Garden and go here.
Excellent food at fair prices with large servings, and quick courteous service. Absolutely recommend this little gem to anyone who likes Italian food.
Amazing Hawaiian pizza!!! Also love the rolls with balsamic mix. Sooooo yummy!!!
For a strip mall Italian place in a small oil town in West Texas, this place was actually very good. Definitely get the stuffed avocado. I ate it as my entree. We had the caprese salad for an appetizer. Everyone seemed to love their pastas. Not many gluten free options besides salads (which is to be expected of an Italian restaurant).
The best salmon I have ever had!
Very yummy I love it listen folks the garlic bread yum the oil that you dip for the garlic bread in yum the tortellini Alla Rosa yum every single other thing on the menu yum by far the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to in Midland Texas or the world. When I'm in bed with my wife and having a little trouble staying in the mood i close my eyes and I think of Ray's Italian Bistro in Midland Texas and its smooth sailing from then on. 5 stars
So good. Casual but romantic at the same time. Food was delicious
I love Dine-In Ray’s! The Chicken Marsala, Tiramisu, Bread, and Tea are AMAZING. I expected the same for Delivery. 😕 I got a tiny $3 Tea, a super bland Chicken Marsala, and yesterday’s Bread. You’re good to go with Delivery Tiramisu- it was as good as Dine-In! I’ll definitely have to show up next time I’m craving Ray’s!
The Greek salad was amazing and filled me up. My husband got the large pizza and could only eat 2 slices before being full. We took the rest home. Both were excellent, and Juan was an amazing server. We came from an hour away to visit someone, and they gladly arranged a reservation ahead of time over the phone and let us occupy their dining space for 2 hours (and still didn't shoo us away). I would absolutely go back. I wish they closer to home.
Typically give a five star review anywhere I find myself regularly, but Ray's is much more than a fine eatery. They serve actual authentic Italian food so 3 stars and the service is exceptional plus one more, and lastly BYOB which makes for some great dinners with old friends or family loads of fun. Also the vibe is very mellow so relax and let Ray and the staff take you and your stomach away.
The bread and oil dip is amazing! Food was good too. I'll be back for the bread alone.
One of the best places in Midland. Great service and amazing food.
Didn't have a reservation on V-Day and they still fit us in. Food was fantastic. Lots of bread. Large portions. The chicken alfredo was delicious. My wife loved the spaghetti with meat sauce.
We went here on a coworkers recommendation. We were not disappointed. This is a cozy gem in Midland ! I had the chicken sunrise with suateed mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes in a delicious sauce, almost ordered another dish that had artichokes. Our waitress advised this dish would be better and the cook could add artichokes. It was Great ! We also had the eggplant parmesan and a special that evening chicken stuffed with shrimp/crab. All were excellent. We finished off by sharing a slice of chocolate cake, dark and rich. At this time they were not serving alcohol, but you were allowed to byob. This is our new go to place Midland.
We received poor service, we didn't like the food, and I think the air conditioner was broken. I got veal Jerusalem and my husband got the lasagna-both were bland. I could barely eat mine and most of my $20 dish was wasted. It was a disappointing way to spend a rare date night. I didn't like paying the price for what we got.I noticed people bringing their own wine and also ordering pizza, which did look delicious, and I might be willing to try the place one more time to see if the pizza is as good as it looks, realizing it may be as bland as the lasagna.
We used Ray's to buy lunch for the Sewell Cadillac Buick GMC team on a Saturday, and they did an amazing job! The pizza's were great and many of our Team Members talked about how much they enjoyed lunch. Thank you for serving us at Sewell Cadillac Buick GMC!
Ordered take out. Said it would take 40 minutes. Arrived and stood in line for 50 minutes before reaching the counter to pick up my order. When we got home our food was cold and instead of veal they had given my dad chicken. Overall the food was only so-so and definitely not worth the time it took. Save yourself the hassle and order from Venezia’s or Luigis
Great food, service great even when busy I mean always busy wait people friendly. I'll go again just make reservations.
Placed to-go order at 5:10, finally delivered at 9:30pm. I called at 6pm to check status and they said less than an hour. I called again at 7 and they said oh just 40min. We had pizza, salad and a pasta dish. Could be shorted handed due to the situation but just FYI. I wish they would have just said sorry we can’t make your order.
Oh You guys should try their Mixed Seafood and I requested for Marsala sauce instead of Marinara sauce. Big servings!!! Loved it
So we loved this place. It's BYOB - which is awesome. The food was amazing. I had the Spinach Ravioli in light red sauce and it was a beautiful meal with great flavors. The garlic bread was soft and tasty. Thought the calamari was not the best I'd ever had, it was still quite good- we ate all of it... So it was good enough. Service was amazing and the prices- you can't beat them for food this tasty. I'm very glad we discovered this restaurant. 💯💯 also- even though they were packed we got in and out within 40 minutes! New favorite!
The best Italian food place I have tried in Midland! The food was excellent, very large portions, & great prices. The service was really good also. We will definitely be returning!
Had to wait a bit to get seated but it was worth the wait. The service is outstanding and the food is absolutely delicious. Very nice portions and you can see that much attention is given to detail. Will definitely be back!
Good food good decor, service is good quantity is ample. The takeaway also good even if you eat it couple hours after or a day later tastes good still.
everything we have tried has been great. Chicken Jerusalem, chicken parmesan, ravioli, fettuccini Alfredo, pizza... and the garlic knots. Yum! Didnt taste like the canned, heat and eat Italian that you'd get at olive garden!
Ordered Carbonara and Chicken Parm.Carbonara was awful. The bacon was barely cooked and looked as if it'd been boiled. No sign of egg or parmesan, just some oil on the noodles. Very disappointing.Chicken Parm and the bread were excellent.
I highly recommend Ray’s Italian Bistro if you are wanting take out. We did the delivery service--within 45 minutes had hot fresh delicious food--meals were packed enough for left overs!!! Delicious!!!! I have the Shrimp Alfredo--so good... Fortuna, husband ordered Lasagna Fortuna with order of meatballs. (huge) Prelibato..
I recently had dinner here on two separate occasions about a week apart. My first visit I had their stuffed mushrooms appetizer with my meal, which were delicious! I ordered their lasagna and manicotti which were both delightful. The bread they serve at the table is glorious however I would say you might want to skip the garlic bread they sell on the menu because it is merely a submarine sandwich roll that has been toasted with some garlic spread added. I was disappointed in that one aspect. My second visit I ordered one of their pizzas to go. The pizza was quite tasty as well. The venue is surprisingly large inside considering it is located in a strip center. They offer a bottle service for wine so you can BYOB however they don't serve alcohol from their menu so be advised. The parking can be tight also but it is well worth the attempt. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant as a nice cozy venue with some tasty Italian eats!
Good Italian food but nothing I'd say that's especially great. The service is excellent and the restaurant is clean.
So far so good. Busy little Italian joint. Reservations is the way to go. We had Lasagna, Chicken Picatta, and Chicken Parmigiana. The bread before the meal is nice and warm and the oil and balsamic dipping oil is pretty bueno. If you haven't been here before, it's definitely worth trying!
Eat Italian in town!! You can’t beat the price either. Entrees are around $12-14. I love this place because it’s BYOB. Might need to make a reservation on Friday or Saturday night but most of the time you won’t have to wait that long.
The decor is beautiful inside, not bright but not dim with simple Italian design. Our server was courteous and prompt, we never once waited for anything. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion size. All plates are large portion. The fried cheese is amazing, some of the best with fresh made marinara. I would recommend the tortellini Alla Rosa to anyone. The pizza menu is on the very back of the menu so don't miss it like I did, the pizza looked amazing. Overall I can't recommend this joint enough.
